I pat this gel around my eyes and the pearlescent pigments help visibly brighten the appearance of dark circles. It also makes my under eye area hydrated which therefor over time I believe will eventually put an end to the puffiness too.

Korres: Lip Butter, Black Pine Super Eye Serum and Pomegranate Balancing Cream Gel Moisturiser

Ever since trying products from Korres many years ago, I have been hooked on quite a few. I like that their Founders Greek Pharmacist George Korres and Chemical Engineer Lena Korres believe in the potency of using natural ingredients.  

In the summer months, my skin, under eyes and lips get super dry and Korres products (shown above) give me back not only the hydration I so desperately need but also make my skin (pores are minimized), eyes  (show less fatigue) and lips (feel supple) and soft to the touch. I also like that their products, although rich in ingredients, are affordable through both Sephora.com as well as KorresUSA.com.

Rimmel London's New Stay Matte Campaign featuring Zhavia Ward

My house loves ZHAVIA so much as we watched her flourish on "The Four." She embodies a bold and beautiful spirit who knows who she is and I am thrilled that Zhavia is heading this campaign. 

 Makeup artist Karl Sanchez, worked with Singer and songwriter Zhavia Ward on Rimmel London’s new Stay Matte campaign. The campaign idea came to life when it was learned that Zhavia was a huge fan of Rimmel London; the campaign will include a video showcasing how Stay Matte fits into Zhavia’s daily routine and feature her second single “Deep Down.”

How To Get The Look:

Face

Karl applied the Rimmel London Stay Matte Foundation and Rimmel London Stay Matte Concealer in Zhavia’s shade, Vanilla and then applied the Rimmel London Maxi Blush in Sweet Cheeks to give her some color to her cheeks.

Eyes

Using the Rimmel London Magnif’Eyes Eyeshadow Palette Nude Edition, Karl darkened the crease with the 10th shade. He used the 8th shade in the palette to smoke out the outer corner and under the eye to intensify and applied the 3rd shade on the eyelid. Karl then used the 1st shade and applied to the inner corner of the eye to act as a highlight. He finished off the eye look by applying Rimmel London Exaggerate Eye Definer to create a winged look and to slightly smoke the eye and topped off the eyes by applying Rimmel London Scandal’eyes WOW Wings Mascara.

Lips

He finished off the look by applying a touch of color to the lips with Rimmel London Stay Matte Liquid Lip in "Be My Baby" followed by a clear lip gloss.

Creatures of the Wind: Get The Look from NARS

NARS created the look for the Creatures of the Wind SS‘16 runway show and who doesn't remember the singer Siouxsie Sioux and that glorious band of eye color? If you don't know who she was, you will soon as this year's beauty look for Creatures of the Wind (@creaturesofthewind) was inspired by her and created on the models by Lead Artist Aaron de Mey (@aarondemey1) for NARS (@narsissist).

It’s an updated, modernized take on eyeliner.”

Backstage with Sir John for La Prairie: Tracy Reese Fall/Winter 2015

Sir John had me swooning over the eye look at the Tracy Reese Fall/Winter '15 show. I noticed the fluid look of both the shadow and liners on the model's eyes and immediately deemed it as creative and bold (stunning was already a given). The skin was flawless and the lips, a wonderful nude. La Prairie is a luxurious brand that nourishes the skin like no other. SKIN: radiant, lit-from-within

Cellular Softening and Balancing Lotion – helps prep skin by retaining moisture while soothing and refreshing skin.

Cellular Radiance Cream – leaves skin looking luminous and lit-from-within. Fresh, hydrated skin that reflects light was the focus.

Cellular Swiss Ice Crystal Eye Cream – applied under the eye to brighten and help prevent makeup from caking.

FACE: luminous

Skin Caviar Concealer • Foundation SPF 15 – applied to face and neck to even out skin tone only where needed. Creates flawless coverage with a soft dewy finish.

Light Fantastic Cellular Concealing • Brightening Eye Treatment – used to highlight areas of the face where sun would naturally illuminate; under tear ducts, above the cheekbones, sides of nose, and high planes of the brow bone. Tip: blend well.

CHEEKS: sculpted

Cellular Treatment Bronzing Powder and Cellular Treatment Eye Colour in Topaz – applied to the cheekbones to accentuate and sculpt. Also used to create definition on the temples.

EYES: strong, colourful & graphic

Luxe Eye Liner Automatique in Brun or Noir – was used to line the entire inner rim of the eye as well as the upper lash line to create a mesmeric visual statement.

Luxe Eye Liner Automatique, Luxe Lip Liner Automatique and Cellular Treatment Eye Colour Ensemble – colours were crushed and blended first to create a creamy texture. They were then applied using a fan brush; pre-cut to create levels of vivid graphic liner.

Cellular Treatment Mascara Instant Build – apply 3-4 coats of mascara on the upper lashes.

LIPS: fresh, healthy, nude

Anti-Aging Eye and Lip Perfection à Porter – used to plump the lips and keep them hydrated.

Cellular Luxe Lip Enhancer – apply Anti-Aging Eye and Lip Perfection à Porter and using fingertip, blend in the Lip Enhancer to create a healthy nude lip.
