Get The Look: Leslie Bibb at the 76th Golden Globe Awards

Image courtesy of the Golden Globes IG Feed

Firstly, I can tell you that I have been a huge fan of celebrity makeup artist Brigitte Reiss-Anderson for years. Secondly, I can tell you that I use Lashify products and absolutely love their look, durability and variety of lash options. Thirdly- can we talk about how gorgeous Leslie Bibb looked last night?!

Celebrity makeup artist Brigitte Reiss-Andersen created the skin and lash look for Leslie Bibb on the red carpet tonight at the 76th Golden Globe Awards using Mother Dirt and Lashify products.

Leslie had chosen such a princessy, dreamy dress by Schiaparelli,” says makeup artist Brigitte Reiss-Andersen. “It’s busy—in a good way! —and I didn’t want the makeup to distract from it. So we did a classic makeup look where you don’t think about the makeup, you just think about the woman,” she says. The style: glowing skin, a doe eye with loads of lashes, and a neutral lip.

When Leslie arrived at the makeup table, she said that her skin was very dry. “I can fix that!” said Reiss-Andersen, who turned to probiotic-powered skincare line Mother Dirt. First she cleansed Leslie’s face with Mother Dirt Cleanser for Face and Body, then followed up with a few refreshing spritzes of the Mother Dirt AO+ Mist for Face and Body. Then Reiss-Andersen “slathered” Leslie’s skin in the Mother Dirt Moisturizer for Face and Body. “All women love a rich cream but worry that they’ll look like a grease ball,” says Reiss Anderson. “This one feels rich but soaks in beautifully. And Leslie could really tell that they there was a dramatic difference in how hydrated her skin felt.”

Next came a bit of concealer, liquid foundation applied with a wet blending sponge, and a cream, peach-colored blush for a “natural flush to the cheeks,” says Reiss-Andersen. But it’s the eyes that were the focus: Reiss-Andersen applied a cream, taupey-gold shadow on the lids, a bit of terracotta on the browbone for warmth, and a pencil liner on the outer corners to make the eyes look a little longer. “And then I went to town with the lashes!” she says.

Reiss-Andersen used the Lashify at-home lash extension system to create the doe-eyed look. “Lashify is like a wardrobe for your lashes,” she says. “It has everything you need.” She used the most natural, 10mm “A” Gossamers (clusters) for the inner corners of Leslie’s eyes, then moved on to the 10mm “B” Gossamers—“more curled and dramatic,” says Reiss-Andersen—for the rest of the lash line. Then she went back into with three, 14mm “B” Gossamers right at the center of each lash line to create the rounded, doe-eye effect. “Leslie was fascinated with whole process!” says Reiss-Andersen.

As jazz music played in the background, Reiss-Andersen finished the makeup with a peachy taupe lipstick with just a bit of gloss and a light dusting of translucent powder. “The room had a real bridal-party-getting-ready vibe to it,” says Reiss-Andersen. Except that the “groom”—Bibb’s longtime boyfriend, Golden Globe nominated actor Sam Rockwell—was there, too. “He was very cute and complimentary of Leslie,” says Reiss-Andersen. “And Leslie loved how she looked,” says Reiss-Andersen. “Because it’s so classic, it’s chic and a gives a woman a straighter spine.” Perfect for a long walk down the red carpet.

WHO: Claire Foy

WHERE: 74th Golden Globe Awards

HAIR BY: Jillian Halouska for SHOW Beauty

INSPIRATION: Effortless elegance, a simple yet modern style to complement Claire’s formal gown.

TIPS/TECHNIQUE:

To recreate Claire’s wispy, undone look, wash tresses with SHOW Beauty Pure Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner and rough dry hair (no brush needed!) to keep elasticity and create movement.

Next, spritz the SHOW Beauty Sheer Thermal Protect from root to tip and wrap small 1” sections of hair around a ¾ inch curling iron.

After each section, immediately pull the hair downwards to elongate and loosen the curl. Repeat until every hair is curled, this will help achieve a wispy do.

Then spray the SHOW Beauty Premiere Dry Shampoo onto the roots to create a grip for the bobby pins to grab onto. Starting at the nape of the neck, take a small section of hair and pin to the opposite side. Moving upwards, continue pinning hair in a criss cross pattern, leaving out a few front and side pieces. Gently sweep remaining hair back and spray into place with the SHOW Beauty Premiere Finishing Spray.

Get The Look: Zoë Saldana

Celebrity makeup artist Vera Steimberg used Votre Vu products to create presenter Zoë Saldana’s red carpet look for the 2017 Golden Globe Awards.

INSPIRATION

Zoë is wearing a Gucci gown in two shades of pink so we wanted makeup that was glowy but clean, to complement the soft colors of the dress.”

COMPLEXION

I used Laura Mercier Primer in Radiance to give her skin a glowy undertone, then applied a mix of two foundations, one from Laura Mercier and the other from Makeup Forever. Together they match her complexion perfectly. I finished by sweeping Guerlain Terracotta Bronzer all over her face to enhance her skin’s radiance but keep it looking clean.

EYES

On her lids, I used a mix of the neutral brown and pinky shades in the Votre Vu Palette Play Quad in Nude, then I traced her upper and lower lash-lines with Votre Vu Le Joli Crayon in Chocolat. On her top lashes, I smudged the eyeliner slightly to create a smoky effect.

I finger-tapped Charlotte Tilbury Eyes to Mesmerize in Bette, a coppery cream, on just the center of her lids, added a few individual lashes her eyes’ outer corners, and swept on two coats of Votre Vu Eiffel Power Mascara in Black.

LIPS

I traced her lips with Votre Vu Drawmatic Lip Liner in Naked, then colored them in with Votre Vu Champs-éLIPsée Lip Crayon in Spark. I finished by tapping Votre Vu Lip Lustre in Demure to just the center of her bottom lip.

Get The Look: Lily James at the 2016 Golden Globe Awards

I love SHOW Beauty products as they smell delightful and help make my hair look it's very best. I wanted to share the tip sheet for Lily James. The gorgeous look was created by Celebrity Hairstylist Ashley Streicher for SHOW Beauty

HAIR BY: Ashley Streicher for SHOW Beauty

INSPIRATION: “A 1970’s French Riviera vibe- elegant and glamorous, with an edge.”

TIPS/TECHNIQUE: To create her cool, brushed out waves, Streicher started by spraying the SHOW Beauty Sheer Thermal Protect to her clean, dry hair to prepare for heat styling and then the SHOW Beauty Divine Thickening Mist at the roots to add a bit of volume.

Then, she gave Lily a center part and sprayed a touch of the SHOW Beauty Premiere Finishing Spray to each section to keep the hair in place.

She used a 1 1/2 inch curling iron, to curl the hair securing each row with a setting pin. The hair at the nape of the neck was set with curls in one direction, and the next layer was curled in the opposite direction to build body and create a tousled wave, and so on.

For the top layer of the hair around the center part, she used a flatiron instead of a curling iron to form finger waves, that appeared loose and undone.

Lastly, she let the whole look set, unpinned it and brushed it out, finishing the look off with SHOW Beauty Premiere Dry Shampoo and another touch of SHOW Beauty Premiere Finishing Spray to give it long-lasting hold and gorgeous volume.

PRODUCTS: SHOW Beauty Premiere Dry Shampoo ($35); SHOW Beauty Premiere Finishing Spray ($47); SHOW Beauty Sheer Thermal Protect ($55); SHOW Beauty Divine Thickening Mist ($55)

We finished with a light layer of Airpod Bronzer in Warm Glow.

For eyes, we went for a clean, smoky look. I used a pinky beige liquid shimmer on the lid, and lined the entire eye with a soft grey, then added a thin dark liquid line very close to the upper lash line.

L’Oréal Paris Launches New Campaign: #WorthSaying

Announcing a new L’Oréal Paris campaign – called #WorthSaying – launching during this weekend’s Golden Globes awards. It is designed to propel the cultural shift happening around red carpet conversations and encourages women on the carpet – and off – to share words they believe are worth saying.

The night of the Golden Globes, the brand’s powerhouse roster of celebrity spokeswomen, which includes Julianne Moore, Karlie Kloss, Eva Longoria, Frieda Pinto and Liya Kebede, along with brand experts and social influencers, will band together as catalysts for change and spark dialogue by putting forward their own words #WorthSaying on Twitter.

Women everywhere are invited to take part in the conversation on Twitter during the broadcast on Sunday, January 10, 2016 from 5:00pm EST – 11:00pm EST by tagging @LorealParisUSA and using #WorthSaying.

L’Oréal Paris believes women’s lips can be bold in more ways than one. For the first time, L’Oréal Paris is leveraging its red carpet authority and broadcast sponsorship of the 2016 Golden Globes to go beyond beauty with the launch of the #WorthSaying campaign.

The campaign is rooted in the brand’s iconic tagline  “Because You’re Worth It” and the belief that all women have something worthy to say. The brand recognizes the importance of the powerful words of women everywhere, so their most-worthy conversations reach, affect and inspire as many other women as possible. In fact, according to new research from the brand, 3 in 4 women agree that powerful and motivating language makes them believe they can accomplish whatever they set their mind to, and the majority of women agree that powerful and motivating language gives them a stronger sense of self-worth.

Via a live social command center, the brand will purposefully spotlight and amplify the meaningful sentiments women are expressing on the red carpet and in social media by selecting posts and sharing them on L’Oreal Paris’ social platforms and in digital advertising, further elevating women’s voices.

The campaign also will debut customized television billboards, banner ads and online videos, all in an effort to inspire women to join the #WorthSaying conversation and further elevate women’s voices to an unprecedented level.

Get The Look: Robin Wright at the Golden Globes

Celebrity makeup artist Tricia Sawyer created the look for Robin Wright for the 2015 Golden Globes using Orlane products.

“Robin is wearing a gorgeous long-sleeve, two-piece Ralph Lauren dress that shows a peek of her midriff. It has a beautiful, long flowly skirt that shows off her fantastic leg, so the look we decided to go with tonight was all about a classic look, with polished, glowing skin.

I started out by prepping her skin with Orlane Brightening Micellar Water which was really great to cleanse the skin but was also really hydrating. Then used three pumps of the Anti-Aging Oxygenation System and applied it to her face and neck. I’m a huge fan of this product and use it on my clients AND myself – what it does for the texture and tone of the skin is just amazing!

It’s so important to properly hydrate the skin, especially if you’re going to put makeup over it and want it to last all night. The more hydrated the skin, the less the skin tries to absorb the makeup. I applied Orlane Absolute Skin Recovery Masquelightly all over the face, pressing it into the skin with my hands which helps it to absorb better and stimulates the skin.

For the base, I applied the Orlane Teint Absolue in Shade 13 (launching Spring 2015). It is an amazing foundation because it gives great, buildable coverage but is still really hydrating. For her eyes, we kept it simple with black liner on top, Sonia Kashuk Dramatically Brightening Eye Pencil in White on the inside of the eyes, Orlane Volume Care Mascara and individual eye lashes to open up the eyes, and great brows using Dior Universal Brow Pencil.

To give some color to the face, I dusted on a blush and used Orlane Bronzer to lightly contour her cheekbones and jaw. Then I went back and dusted Orlane Transparent Loose Powder where needed to keep the makeup in place all night.”
