The Look: Cynthia Rowley x Birchbox x John Barrett SS'15

Yes, I used to go to John's salon and yes, I know the lovely Cynthia Rowley and yes, I have been a member of Birchbox since they, it only made sense to cover my creatively delightful friend's collection!



NEW YORK, NY – September 16, 2014 – For the Cynthia Rowley Spring 2015 Fashion Week presentation, Cynthia Rowley brought on Birchbox, a leading beauty company changing the way consumers shop on and offline, and The John Barrett Salon as the official backstage beauty sponsors. Cynthia Rowley’s Spring 2015 presentation took place September 9th, at 18 Wooster Street in SoHo.

The prestigious John Barrett Salon created a dynamic hair look for the presentation. "I wanted to create a look with a lot of texture while giving a polished look to contrast well with Cynthia's mod-inspired SS15 collection," says master stylist, John Barrett, of John Barrett Salon.

The look was created with the following products:

• 1/2 inch curling iron

• Wide-tooth comb

• John Barrett Be Healed Styling Masque

• Shu Uemura Essence Absolue Oil-in-Cream

• Shu Ueumra Art of Hair Essence Absolue Nourishing Protective Oil

The makeup look, led by Daniel Martin, was created using Cynthia Rowley Beauty products in addition to select products from Birchbox brand partner W3LL PEOPLE. Inspired by the playful vibe of the 60s, the look featured a dramatic eye look using the shade Knockout from Cynthia Rowley Beauty’s soon to be released “The Game Face Eyeshadow Palette” and her pencil eyeliner in black. The MVP shade from the palette was used as an all over highlight. The models were finished off with a touch of Cynthia's creamy lip stain in “Sugar” on their lips.

The nails, provided by Color Club, featured custom glossy nude shades that were matched to each model’s skin tone.
