L'Oreal USA launches Beaumoji TODAY!

Breaking News: Today, L'Oréal USA introduces Beaumoji, the most extensive emoji keyboard dedicated to all things beauty. They keyboard offers 130 emojis representing the latest trends in makeup, skin and hair, inspired by and created for the fast-growing community of digital beauty enthusiasts.

The emojis will be organized into five categories including:

The keyboard will be fully integrated into texting platforms and is available for free download on both Android and iOS here: http://bit.ly/BeaumojiKB. The innovation is a joint effort among brands in the L'Oréal USA family, driven by the growth of beauty-oriented conversations on mobile. The keyboard will be updated seasonally with new emojis to reflect evolving beauty trends.

More about the launch... L’Oréal USA today announced the launch of “Beaumoji,” the most extensive messaging keyboard designed to enhance and animate conversations around the world of beauty. The keyboard offers 130 playful and on-trend emojis created exclusively for the passionate and growing community of beauty enthusiasts.

Once downloaded, the Beaumoji keyboard is organized into categories including ‘It Girl,’ which features illustrations of current beauty trends like the ombré lip and pastel hair, ‘Pampered Life’ with characters indulging in beauty experiences, alongside symbols of ‘Iconic’ L’Oréal-brand products, such as Urban Decay’s beloved Naked palette and Maybelline New York Great Lash mascara. Beaumoji also features categories titled ‘beYOUtiful’ which encourages users to embrace their personal style and express their unique beauty stories, and ‘Love’ which includes icons and gestures to express enthusiasm for all things beauty.

Beginning today, the keyboard will be available for free on both iOS and Android, and consumers can expect seasonal upgrades with new emojis to reflect evolving beauty trends.

To celebrate the announcement, L’Oréal is also unveiling an emoji design contest, inviting consumers to create and submit their own Beaumoji using the hashtag #BeaumojiContest which will be judged by a panel of top beauty influencers. Three winners will receive a trip to New York City for a one-night stay and VIP ticket to Beautycon Festival New York (October 1st), where their Beaumoji will be revealed live on stage alongside some of the industry’s most admired beauty influencers and in front of thousands of beauty industry enthusiasts.

L’Oréal USA was inspired to create Beaumoji by the growth of beauty-oriented conversations on mobile and through social messaging. Social platforms like YouTube, Pinterest, Instagram and Snapchat have completely transformed the way consumers learn about, engage with and relate to the beauty industry. By leveraging social listening tools, L’Oréal saw a surge in these online conversations and the use of the few relevant emojis currently available like the Unicode lipstick and nail polish icons. L’Oréal’s mission was to fill the gap between the growing desire to communicate in new ways about beauty and the visual tools available to best illustrate it.

We know the online conversation around beauty is hugeand continuing to spike along with the shorthand language of emojis. We saw an opportunity to provide expressions and tools for our beauty community that reflect the daily conversations we see happening,” said Rachel Weiss, Vice President of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at L'Oréal USA. “With Beaumoji, our goal is to provide emojis that beauty enthusiasts crave and speak to their unique passions, lifestyles and personalities.”

Beaumoji is the latest effort in L’Oréal’s ongoing digital and technology innovation strategy. Other recent innovations include the Makeup Genius virtual makeup app and the My UV Patch skin sensor app—launched at the Consumer Electronics Show earlier this year. The company is dedicated to continue innovating on mobile in order to provide passionate consumers with the newest ways to communicate and experience beauty in the digital age.

The Beaumoji keyboard was created in partnership with Snaps, the first end-to-end platform for brand marketing across messaging applications and devices. Beaumoji will be available for free in both iOS and Android app stores.

Follow @beaumoji_ on Instagram for more information on the Beaumoji Design Contest.

*Once again, to celebrate the launch, L'Oréal USA is offering consumers the chance to design their own emoji to be added to the keyboard. Winners will be selected by a panel of the top influencers in beauty, and flown to BeautyCon NY in October for the unveiling of their designs. (Additional contest details can be found on beaumojicontest.com).

Glamour Magazine: Street Glam at Chelsea Market (last day today)

Glamour magazine's goal (@glamour_mag) per the delightfully warm Lauren Dreeland, Executive Director of Partnerships, was to allow all of us to feel as if we are runway ready. To feel like VIP's in our own city without needing to be an Editor, Blogger, etc. No credentials were needed here! Just walk into their pop up shop and get Glamorized! All at no cost to you as you are on THEIR list!

Starting with Philosophy, you were treated to facials with new products as well as seeing my favorite cleanser, Purity, taking center stage. Their purity wipes, hope in a jar and Purity cleanser are faves of mine.

Giorgio Armani's newest fragrance Si was for all to sample as well as sending a hand stamped I totaled love note to someone for free. I sent a love note to my children!

Then there was GILT with hand selected products from the editors of Glamour that you were able to try on right there and then and purchase if you chose to.

Next up FOLLI FOLLIE with their gorgeous bags and jewelry and each person got a free Flash Tattoo applied to them within their booth. My how I loved that black bag with the rose gold trim!

My personal favorite was getting my hair colored at the Garnier booth by Melinda Martinez who made me look feel beautiful. People stopped and stared as she applied Garnier's Blue Temporary Color to my hair strand by strand and then curled my keratin straightened hair into a cascade of blue locks. I ansolutel 100% loved it! Braids were also being offered yet I went for the color. Go Garnier!

Maybelline offered touch ups using their latest nude palette, dream wonder foundation, kajal liners, etc. and everyone was given a free polish of their choice upon leaving their station. Everyone left feeling like a million bucks!

I cannot tell you how many smiles were had yet my photo booth pic from the previous day says it all. Street Glam is open today as it is their last day so go to Chelsea Market from 12-6 and let yourself be pampered! #streetglam

Be sure to follow the action on IG at #streetglam to see all of the wonderful posts! Thank you Glamour Magazine for making us all feel like our streets are our own personal runways!

Maybelline: Dream Wonder Powder and More!

When Maybelline shows love, they truly show love! Just look at the generous amount of beauty products that were sent my way and you shall get an overall feel of the latest launches.

I decided to swatch it slowly and use the products daily to get a true feel for the collections.

Today I chose the Dream Wonder Powder in Porcelain Ivory ( $ 9.99), Maybelline New York's New Face Studio Master Hi-Light in Pink Rose ( $ 9.99) and Maybelline New York Expertwear Eyeshadow Quad in Luminous Lilacs ( $ 6.25). Note there are 48 new shades added to this popular Expertwear Eyeshadow Collection!

There are 16 shades available in the Dream Wonder Powder collection and my Porcelain Ivory applied effortlessly. The Dream Wonder Powder uses wet process technology that has an ultra fine creamy texture that leaves your skin looking silky soft.

There is also a Master Glaze Glisten Blush Stick ( $ 8.99) that gives a dewy gently glazed look to your cheeks. I chose to use the Face Studio Master Hi-Light Blush ( $ 9.99) as I was attracted to all of the colors in the product and wanted to see how they meshed together on my cheeks. Available in 4 Blush Palettes, my cheeks shimmered but not too much. The balance of color to shimmer enhanced my all- over natural brightness. I was not too sparkly and the pop of color was lovely on the apples of my cheeks. There are also 2 Bronzer Palettes for those of you that want a warmer overall radiance.

The 48 NEW shades added to the popular Expertwear Eyeshadow Collection are available in singles ( $ 3.75), duos ( $ 4.50), trios ( $ 5.50) and quads ( $ 6.25). The new packaging is sleek and the formula has perlite complex to control oil and allow for up to 12 hours of wear! The colors are extremely rich and the possible eye looks endless.

The lippy's I swatched on my inner arm as you all know I generally wear my signature red lippy! They are lovely and nude. The new collection of raw, real nude lipstick is called In The Buff and are available for $ 7.49 each.

There are 10 born to be naked shades available and the colors are creamy, bold and impact ful thanks to their honey- nectar infused formula. Colors swatched are Bare All, Truffle Tease, Touchable Taupe, Untainted Spice and Espresso Exposed.

More to come on their Spring 2014 and Summer Collections...soon! XO
