Avon Global Celebrity Makeup Artist Lauren Andersen worked with Emma Roberts for last night’s Vanity Fair Oscar Party.

Lauren’s Inspiration: Graphic glam.

Eyes: To create a modern look, she lined only the center of the lower lash line with Avon Glimmersticks Eyeliner in Blackest Black and didn’t use any eyeshadow in order to create a more graphic look. She finished the eyes with Avon Big & False Lash Volume Mascara in Blackest Black.

Face: Lauren started with Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation. She added Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Luminous Flush and added Avon Ideal Luminous Blush in Classic Aura.

Lip: She finished off the look by applying Avon True Color Perfectly Matte Lipstick in Ravishing Rose to her lips.

Get The Look: Saoirse Ronan's Tresses

The Look: Sultry, youthful and voluminous

The Inspiration: Celebrity hairstylist Adir Abergel was inspired by the construction and details of the Calvin Klein dress. "I wanted to give her an undone, textured blowout with a brushed out beautiful wave hand raked back away from the face,” he says.

How to Get the Look:
  • He started by applying JohnFrieda® Luxurious Volume Perfectly Full™ Mousse all over the roots on towel dried hair. He then air-dried the hair with 100% cold air to achieve maximum volume.
  • Then using a medium sized round brush, he dried the hair applying hot air to form the style.
  • Then he divided the hair in two-inch sections and wrapped each section into a Velcro roller allowing it cool and set. He did this throughout the entire head.
  • Before removing the rollers, he sprayed John Frieda® Luxurious Volume Forever Full™ Hairspray to set the look. He then removed the rollers, applying more spray to a Mason Pearson brush and brushed the hair into soft textured sexy waves.
  • He then backcombed the front pieces of hair to create height for a sexy sultry side swept effect.
  • To finish, he misted John Frieda Luxurious Volume Forever Full™ Hairspray to lock in the style for the night.

Get The Look: Lady Gaga and Kerry Washington's Tresses

Exciting news: Lady Gaga and Kerry Washington’s hairstylists both used ghd tools to create their stunning looks for last night’s 88th Academy Awards.

WHO: Lady Gaga

HAIR BY: Celebrity Hairstylist, Frederic Aspiras

INSPIRATION: “We wanted a timeless and elegant look for her first Oscars. I created perfectly structured, voluminous curls to frame her face.”

TIPS/TECHNIQUE: “To start, I washed the hair and rinsed thoroughly. I then blow dried the hair using my ghd air™ hairdryer and a boar bristle round brush, making the hair voluminous and smooth. I then sprayed the hair with a heat protectant spray before we started styling.

I used ghd curve Classic Curl Iron 1” at the front of the hairline and ghd Curve Soft Curl Iron 1.25” from the crown down to the nape. After curling each piece, I held the curl in my hand and sprayed it with a curl hold spray, then pinned the curl in place. Once all of the hair was pin curled, she sat under a dryer hood for 15 minutes, then let the hair cool for another 5 minutes.

Finally, we removed all pins and brushed out the hair with a Mason Pearson Brush. We then sculpted the hair with a wide tooth comb. Once the hair looked perfect, we finished with hairspray to hold the look in place.”

PRODUCTS: ghd air™ hairdryer ($225); ghd curve Classic Curl Iron 1” ($199); ghd Curve Soft Curl Iron 1.25” ($199)

RETAILER: Sephora, Sephora.com, ghdhair.com/us

WHO: Kerry Washington

HAIR BY: Celebrity Hairstylist, Takisha Sturdivant-Drew

INSPIRATION: “I wanted to create a bold look that matched her black and white leather dress. We kept the hair edgy and youthful.”

TIPS/TECHNIQUE: “I shampooed the hair with Neutrogena Anti-Residue Shampoo to remove buildup, then used Neutrogena Triple Moisture Deep Recovery Hair Mask to keep the hair looking shiny and healthy.

I blew out the hair with my ghd air™ hairdryer and a paddle brush, adding some volume at the roots. Once the hair was completely dry, I used the ghd platinum™ styler to make the hair look sleek and shiny. I really love this flat iron, because it heats to the optimal 365 degrees so I know I’m not damaging the hair. Healthy hair is so important to Kerry.

To style, I used ghd curve Soft Curl Iron and curled some pieces counter clockwise and some clockwise so the hair didn’t all fall in one place. I clipped TSD Hair Extensions to the center of the head and with a fine tooth comb, teased the root just a bit to give some added drama. I finished by taking the hair and securing a ponytail in place with a leather Versace band.”

PRODUCTS: ghd air™ hairdryer ($225); ghd platinum™ styler ($249); ghd curve Soft Curl Iron ($199)

Get the Look with Hourglass Cosmetics: Margot Robbie

One of my favorite looks from last night's show was Margot Robbie. You KNOW I must get that Hourglass Cosmetics lippy!

She absolutely sizzled on the red carpet last night while attending and presenting at the 87th Academy Awards. The sultry Australian actress, a presenter at the awards ceremony, looked breathtaking in a black Saint Laurent dress, a vintage Van Cleef & Arpels necklace and fiery orange-red lips.

"We were inspired by old Hollywood glamour and wanted to make a statement," says makeup artist Tyron Macchausen. "It's the Oscars after all."

Skin: Tyron began by prepping the skin with Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer to ensure a flawless makeup application. He then used Hourglass Veil Fluid Makeup in Honey & Beige on her skin and Hourglass Hidden Corrective Concealer in Sand under the eyes.

Cheeks: He lightly contoured with Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Radiant Light, and then applied Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Luminous Light as a highlight on her cheekbones.

Brows: He used a combination of Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil in Blonde and Soft Brunette to add dimension to her brows.

Eyes: He kept her eyelids bare and only applied Hourglass 1.5 mm Mechanical Gel Eyeliner to the inside of her lash line. He followed with several coats of Hourglass Film Noir Mascara to her top lashes.

Lips: He lined her lips with Hourglass Panoramic Long Wear Lip Pencil in Raven, followed by Hourglass Opaque Rouge Liquid Lipstick in Raven, for a pop of matte orange-red.

Get the Look with Make Up For Ever: Rosamund Pike

That red dress! That gorgeous face! I loved Rosamund Pike in Gone Girl and I thought last night was one of her best looks to date. She is always gorgeous and that red dress last night paired with that nude lip was just a beautiful compliment to her overall look.

WHO: Rosamund Pike

MAKEUP BY: Melanie Inglessis, for MAKE UP FOR EVER

INSPIRATION: “As soon as I saw Rosamund’s custom Givenchy dress, I knew she was going to have a moment on the red carpet. I wanted to create a classic beauty look like the iconic Grace Kelly.”

TIPS/TECHNIQUE: “To prep Rosamund’s fair skin I applied SISLEY Sisleya Essential Skincare Lotion all over the face, followed by the refreshing SISLEY Floral Spray Mist. While the skin is still damp I applied SISLEY Hydra-Global Intense Anti-Aging Hydration to keep Rosamund’s skin nourished all night long.

To reduce under eye puffiness I applied a thick layer of SISLEY Eye Contour Mask and left it on for 10 minutes.

I finished with SISLEY Nutritive Lip Balm and left on until I was ready to apply lipstick.

I wanted Rosamund’s skin to have a flawless matte finish and MAKE UP FOR EVER Step 1 Skin Equalizer Mattifying Primer, which comes out in March, locks in moisture while giving a beautiful matte canvas for makeup. It’s the perfect primer and creates the perfect base.

Using a Beauty Blender I worked CHANEL Vitalumiere Aqua onto the skin, followed by SISLEY Phyto-Cernes Eclat Concealer for under the eyes.

To recreate depth in the face I blended CHANEL Soleil Tan de Chanel Bronzing Makeup Base with MAKE UP FOR EVER Artisan Medium Powder Brush #126 and worked the product below the cheek bone, then gently swiped it across the top of the forehead and bridge of the nose for a sun-kissed glow.

Next, I dusted MAKE UP FOR EVER HD Pressed Powder all over, which is a great talc-free and translucent powder to keep the look fresh.

To define and sharpen the brows I used MAKE UP FOR EVER Brow Seal Transparent Eyebrow Gel.

To enhance Rosamund’s beautiful eye shape I wanted to use earthy tones and dusted MAKE UP FOR EVER Matte Artist Shadow in #M-530 Eggshell all over the lid.

I then used MAKE UP FOR EVER Artist Liner in #M-50, Matte Bright Brown along the lash line and smudged it with CHANEL Illusion D’ombre Long Wear Luminous Eyeshadow in Mirage to create a softer look.

I then added MAKE UP FOR EVER Artist Shadow in #M-536, Milk Tea, to the crease to open the eye and used MAKE UP FOR EVER Artisan Large Blender Brush #242 in a back and forth motion to blend the shade and also added it along the lower lash line.

I used CHANEL Inimitable Mascara in Brun on the bottom lashes and then applied MAKE UP FOR EVER Smoky Lash Mascara Rich Black to the top lashes to create more volume and lengthen the lashes.

For the perfect nude pout, I defined the lips with CHANEL Precision Lip Definer in Beige Innocent and then filled in with CHANEL Rouge Coco Ultra Hydrating Lip Colour in Mademoiselle.

Get the Look: Neil Patrick Harris with Celebrity Groomer Sonia Lee

I enjoyed last night's show and I think Neil Patrick Harris did a great job of keeping the night light and fun. I thought he looked fantastic and I had to explain to my 12 year old daughter that he had been acting, singing and dancing for quite some time as I remembered him on Doogie Howser, MD years ago (which shows my age, I am well aware) even though he continues to look remarkably young.

Celebrity groomer Sonia Lee created the look for Neil Patrick Harris last night at the Oscars using Montez Renault and Leonor Greyl products.

“For Neil’s look,  we wanted to him looking as easy and natural as possible but still classic and sexy.  He’s wearing this great custom Brunello Cucinelli grey cashmere tux with a satin shawl collar.

Before we started, I had Neil cleanse his face with Montez Renault Facial Cleanser.  Then I began by applying Tom Ford Anti-Fatigue Eye Treatment around the eye contour.  Next, I applied Montez Renault Facial Moisturizer on his skin with a foundation brush.  I used the brush so it ensures an even application.  I massaged in the moisturizer with my fingers after to ensure that it absorbed really well.  I loved this moisturizer, its so refreshing and the scent is amazing.  It absorbs really quickly and is really light which is what most men prefer when using a moisturizer.

I went back over his t-zone with Murad Face Mattifier to tamp down any shine and make sure he was camera ready.  We also used Collyre Bleu Eye Drops so that his eyes look brighter and wouldn’t get dry when he’s on the red carpet.  To finish off, I applied Montez Renault Moisturizing Body Lotion to his arms, hands, everywhere to keep his skin looking moisturized and healthy.

For his hair, I started by warming up Leonor Greyl Éclat Naturel in my hands and applied it evenly and lightly all over his hair.  This styling cream is a really great product because it gives the hair a little shine and makes it look really finished.  Then I used a flatiron to straighten out any flyaways and went back with Leonor Greyl Baume Bois de Rose (launching April 2015) and used my fingers to create a bit of separation for a sexier look.  The products smell amazing and so refreshing which is really great!”

Before Neil ran on stage in just his tighty-whities, he had to strip down super-fast to his underwear and Sonia had just enough time to apply Montez Renault Moisturizing Body Lotion on him.  She loves the scent and the fact that it is light and non-greasy, plus it made him feel like he was wearing something!

Leonor Greyl products are available at www.leonorgreyl-usa.com.
