Yes, I watched last night and yes some of the outfits were questionable to me but nonetheless it seemed like a fun night for all involved. I loved when Taylor Swift arrived with such a gloriously fabulous entourage of sorts! TIPS/TECHNIQUE: “First I dried Gigi’s hair using the ghd air™ hairdryer and ghd ceramic vented radial brush size 3. I started by blowing Gigi’s hair, beginning from the nape of her neck and working towards the front. Once I got to the section surrounding her ears, I applied moose and thickening spray near roots and teased the hair to create a glamorous look straight from the 70s. To create Gigi’s “Golden Goddess” look, Misha took inspiration from inspired icons such as Raquel Welch and Sofia Loren--as they're the perfect role models for bronze beauty.
Celebrity make-up artist, Misha Shahzada for BeautyFriend recently created Gigi Hadid’s summer make up for The Daily Summer Magazine. Famed photographer Gilles Bensimon was on hand to photograph the cover and inside story.
The first step in creating the look was to aim for a natural sun-kissed look while not having Gigi appear overly tanned. To accomplish this, Misha used Perfect Body Perfection Gel in matte tan all over her body to create a soft and natural looking glow. According to Misha, “The product blends nicely and is easily buildable without looking too heavy or unnatural”. In order to achieve a perfect finish, Misha recommends exfoliating the body first as this will allow for overall even application.
Next, she used a bronzing brush and simply dusted Maybelline’s Mineral Power Bronzerall over the face. **TIP--always start with less and build if you need to** Misha also suggests when using nudes for color, to experiment with shades such as taupe, browns, pinks, etc., as nudes do not always have to consist of just beige tones.
To finish the “Golden Goddess” look, she added a pop of color with a red lip while most of the face was left natural. Misha opted for a matte red lip with Maybelline’s "Keep up the Flame" paired with Color Sensational lip liner in "Red" which added a modern twist to Gigi’s look without appearing overly "glam".
