Go COCONUTS with me: NEW Organic Doctor Virgin Coconut Oil Collection

All I do is dream of my favorite spot on earth, Parrot Cay. I think of the beautiful water, rum punch drinks and the delicious taste of raw coconut. I know that scent brings back such delightful memories and this line does the trick to make me smile....whether you’re jet-setting to a tropical island or recreating the island vibe at home, nothing says summer quite like the smell of Coconut!  However, the delicious fragrance isn’t the only reason everyone is going coo-coo for coconuts; Virgin Coconut Oil has incredible moisturizing and rejuvenating benefits for head-to-toe relaxation.

Treat your face, body and hair to the season’s hottest ingredient and bring the vacation-vibes home with the NEW Organic Doctor Virgin Coconut Oil collection.  Each product incorporates rich natural extracts including Papaya, Mango, Aloe Vera Leaf Juice and Orange with Vitamins and Coconut Oil to revive dry, tired skin, arouse your senses and leave you feeling pampered.  For an at-home escape, try these:

·         Organic Virgin Coconut Oil Shampoo & Conditioner ($11.49 each) to strengthen summer locks and leave hair healthy, shiny and silky smooth;
·         Organic Virgin Coconut Oil Moisture Melt Body Oil ($29.99) to rehydrate the deep layers of skin and provide an intensive conditioning treatment;

Moroccanoil Body: Indulge in YOU

Yes, summer is certainly here and our calendars are starting to go into full-swing. For me, soon I will go into overdrive as we head into Fashion Week in September and the thought of busy weekends and after work happy hours can be dizzying.  If you’re in need of a little “me time” block a night off, get the Netflix ( my preference is without a doubt Orange Is The New Black, Season 2) queue ready and indulge in relaxing and luxurious at-home spa treatments with Moroccanoil Body…

Get in the tub

Run warm water and get ready for some much needed TLC.  Light the Moroccanoil Candle ($52) to create a calming, spa-like ambiance and add a few droplets of Moroccanoil Intense Hydrating Treatment ($36) for a rich, hydrating soak and then sit back, relax and take in the warm, soothing experience.

Post-bath
Now that your mind and body are relaxed, envelope your skin in rich, delicious hydration and luxurious nourishment with the Moroccanoil Body Soufflé ($52).

I know I do not give myself enough "me time" but these products give me something to look forward to....

Body Oils vs. Body Lotions

I know I get confused at the stores and counters sometimes as to what does what when it comes to lotions vs. oils and Beauty & Skin Expert Gregorie Guillaume breaks down the difference between Body Potions & Lotions and shares her choices for this season.

The following are her personal suggestions:

Do yourself and your body a favor this season and add body oils to the mix to get even softer skin from SKINN Cosmetics, Whish, Caldrea and Viktor&Rolf. As creatures of habit, stepping out of the shower and reaching for that tried and true body lotion is what we know.
Body Oils vs. Body Lotions
Before you make the decision to switch or even add a body oil to your regimen, let's first understand what the difference is between the two product types. Body oils moisturize the top layer of the skin, keeping moisture trapped in while not penetrating the skin. Body lotions are made with skin-softening ingredients like aloe vera, shea butter and Vitamins D & E to penetrate and hydrate the skin.

Now you've got the facts - what decision will you make?
Anti-Aging Solutions
More than just a body oil, Collagenesis Essential Radiance Omega-Rich Anti-Aging Body Oil ($49, store.skinn.com) doesn't just produce a gorgeous glow, made with a concentrated blend of anti-aging ingredients: botanical oils rich in Omega 3, 6, 7, 9 & 12 Fatty Acids, Collagenesis targets parched, aging or withered skin and rejuvenates and replenishes it with moisture so it feel supple.

Whish Blueberry Body Oil ($28, nordstrom.com) is a treat for your nose and skin as it leaves it with a luminous finish.  Sesame and sunflower seed oils moisturize it, olive leaf extract and jojoba oil calm inflamed skin and  Dermaxyl - an anti-aging peptide ingredient reduces fine lines and wrinkles.
Budget Beauty Oil
The Target stores brand of body care products, recently-launched Caldrea Essential Collection is pretty much OMG! Of the four fragrances within the collection offered, Mango Lily is by far my favorite and the Body Oil ($9.99, www.target.com). Made of Argan and Meadowsweet Oil - juicy tropical and notes of lily, this body oil has a nice thickness to it which absorbs quickly.
From The Design House Viktor&Rolf
Viktor&Rolf Bomblicious Dry Body Oil ($65, department stores) isn't just about moisturizing thirsty skin, it's about wrapping your body in the warmth with every spritz. The velvety oil is yet another marvelous way to get lost in the Flowerbomb Bomblicious fragrance.
