It is with great pride that dr. brandt skincare® announces the launch of The Dr. Brandt Foundation, a nonprofit organization established in partnership with The Miami Foundation, to commemorate and preserve the legacy of the company’s trailblazing founder, Dr. Fredric Brandt. The Foundation’s first campaign, #plumpupthevolume, has been created to foster a national dialogue concerning issues of mental health and well-being, and provide insight and support to individuals affected by mood disorders, and their families.
According to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP), one person dies by suicide in the U.S. every 13 minutes, leading to more than 40,000 deaths a year. The AFSP’s core focus is to promote awareness, prevention, understanding and hope to reverse this upward trend and save lives. Working in conjunction with the AFSP, the Dr. Brandt Foundation will aid its efforts in research, education and advocacy.
In keeping with the long-held interests of Dr. Brandt, the Foundation will also provide support in the following areas: organizations that work with young artists to enhance their skills and passion for the arts, research of skin diseases, and the Humane Society.
JOIN IN THE FIGHT! Take part in the dr. Brandt® #plumpupthevolume campaign which began on January 8th, 2016. This nationwide movement is a call-to-action platform that invites Instagrammers everywhere to share their enthusiasm for life and positive thoughts that can motivate others.
IT’S EASY TO JOIN: Take a photo or video of yourself holding a sign that reads “#plumpupthevolume”, tag or follow @drbrandt and post it on Instagram using the same hashtag. Then challenge friends and followers to do the same. For every person that accepts your challenge, dr. brandt skincare® will donate $1 dollar to the Dr. Brandt Foundation. The hashtag #plumpupthevolume calls on all Americans to ‘turn up the volume’ on issues around emotional health and well-being, and sheds new light on their causes, effects and treatments — offering both hope and help to those in need.
