Let's talk about rocking Red Lips!

As many of you already know, my go to color for red lips is Aqua Rouge No. 8 from Make Up For Ever. It can be worn matte or glossy and does not smudge, budge nor move until you want it off! I believe it was created with Madonna in mind with help by her make up artist Gina Brooke.

Many others have become back ups such as Loni Alpert's suggested Hot  Passion from www.covergirl.com. I looked in six stores before finding it and yes, it was worth the wait! Another favorite is from the infallible collection from L'Oreal Paris in Cerise. I still have the one that Beyonce collaborated with the brand in Beyonce's Red! 

Another one I fell for was Cherry Blossom from www.revlon.com when Gucci Westman launched the original collection. 

Rubino from Dolce & Gabanna is also a creamy lipstick as opposed to some of the others mentioned above that are considered lip stains.

Ruby Woo from www.maccosmetics.com is also a longtime favorite, too. Red Velvet from Model Co. has a delightful richness to it as well as The Lipstick Queen in the newly released The Metals.

Lip pencils are also a wonderful underlay to keep your lippy from feathering or moving. I often use the corresponding Aqua Lip liner in No. 8c from MUFE. I also love the ICON line from Hourglass Cosmetics sold in www.sephora.com.

 

Dior's Minuit is also a stunner!
