More from the 2015 Golden Globes: Celebrity Hairstylist and ghd Brand Ambasador David Babaii

WHO: Kate Hudson

HAIR BY: David Babaii, Brand Ambassador for ghd, North America

INSPIRATION: “I wanted to create a modern day chignon. It’s a look that works well on everyone, no matter if you have straight or curly hair. It’s clean and chic, and is the perfect classic style.”

TIPS/TECHNIQUE: “To create this look, I used the ghd eclipse™. I love this flat iron because it features ghd’s patented tri-zone™ technology with three heat sensors that keep the temperature at 365 degrees - optimal for styling. The ghd eclipse™ leaves hair looking incredibly shiny, sleek and smooth. First, blow dry hair using the ghd air™ hairdryer and a round brush. Part hair down the middle, then divide into 3 sections: two in the front and one in the back. Starting at the back of the head and working forward, take 1 – 1 1/2 inch sections and straighten the hair with the ghd eclipse™. Pull hair into a tight bun on the back of your head. Use bobby pins to secure.”

PRODUCTS: ghd air™ hairdryer ($225); ghd eclipse™ ($245)

DRESS: Versace

RETAILER: Sephora, Sephora.com, ghdhair.com/us

WHO: Gwyneth Paltrow

HAIR BY: David Babaii, Brand Ambassador for ghd, North America

INSPIRATION: “A 70’s Playboy Bunny, with glamorously chic waves. Gwyneth is known for her iconic straight hair, but for tonight’s Golden Globe's we aimed to mix it up and have a little fun - like nothing you have seen before.”

TIPS/TECHNIQUE: “Blow dry hair using the ghd air™ hairdryer and a round brush. Create an off-center part and divide into 3 sections: two in the front and one in the back. Starting at the back and working forward, take different sized sections and curl hair using the ghd curve™ soft curl iron. The 1.25” barrel creates voluminous, soft polished waves. After each piece, release the curl and stretch it out for 2-3 seconds. Continue all the way to the top alternating the direction of the curl. With ghd’s patented tri-zone™ technology, I was able to create this style in less than 30 minutes for hair that will stay shiny and smooth all night. For the top sections, don’t curl the hair all the way to the root, only the bottom half of the shaft. To finish, apply dime-sized amount of ghd Smooth & Finish Serum to the hands and run through the hair, then brush out the hair with a wide tooth comb to loosen the waves.

PRODUCTS: ghd air™ hairdryer ($225), ghd curve™ soft curl iron ($245) and ghd Smooth & Finish Serum ($28)

DRESS: Michael Kors

RETAILER: Sephora, Sephora.com, ghdhair.com/us

WHO: Katherine Heigl

HAIR BY: David Babaii, Brand Ambassador for ghd, North America

INSPIRATION: “I call this hairstyle ‘California Chic.’ I wanted the look to be soft and smooth, but with a hint of naughtiness.”

TIPS/TECHNIQUE: "First blow dry hair using the ghd air™ hairdryer and a round brush. Then part the hair down the middle and divide into 3 sections: two in the front and one in the back. Starting at the back and working forward, take different sized sections and curl hair using the ghd curve™ creative curl wand, the size of the barrel creates the looser shape needed for this look. After each piece, release the curl and stretch it out for 2-3 seconds. Continue all the way to the top alternating the direction of the curl. ghd’s patented tri-zone™ technology styles the hair in less time and creates long lasting curls without having to use a bunch of styling products. For the top sections, don’t curl the hair all the way to the root, only the bottom half of the shaft - this prevents the Shirley Temple tendrils. Finish the look by pulling front sections of hair behind the ear.”

PRODUCTS: ghd air™ hairdryer ($225); ghd curve™ creative curl wand ($245)

DRESS: Zac Posen

RETAILER: Sephora, Sephora.com, ghdhair.com/us

Get The Look: Taylor Schilling wears NARS at the 2015 Golden Globes

NARS worked with celebrity makeup artist and uber lovely Tina Turnbow to create the red carpet makeup look for Taylor Schilling at the 2015 Golden Globe Awards. "Pipes" on OITNB has been a favorite character of mine for some time now and I love Taylor Schilling's portrayal of Piper Kerman on the Netflix hit series. Please see below for more details and the products used to achieve this look.

Beauty Inspiration: “The inspiration for Taylor’s look was a younger, modern take on Grace Kelly. I wanted to play up her bone structure, her skin and her natural beauty so we went with a clean eye, bold brow and a crisp orange red lip to clash with the scarlet shade of her Ralph Lauren gown.”

Key NARS products used:

All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation (New for Spring 2015; for now try Sheer Matte Foundation) | Porto Venere Eye Paint (New for Spring 2015; for now try Abyssinia Matte Eyeshadow) | Red Square Velvet Matte Lip Pencil

All products, except where noted, are available at narscosmetics.com.

Golden Globes 2015: Ethan Hawke

Celebrity groomer Lauren Kaye Cohen created the look for Ethan Hawke for last night’s Golden Globes red carpet using Montez Renault products.

“Usually, when one of my clients is in the middle of filming a TV show or movie, we can’t change their hair cut or facial hair at all so that it keeps the continuity for the show. Ethan just finished filming, so he had his hair freshly cut to his taste and we had a lot of fun creating a look to accentuate his own natural good looks.

A lot of times, people end up being in a rush at the last minute before the award shows, so I gave Ethan the Montez Renault 3-in-1 Performance Wash to shower with so he could shampoo and wash his face and body all at once which was wonderful and a total time saver. It’s a really great product for anyone that’s traveling or just in a hurry.

Before shaving, I had Ethan use the Jojoba Smoothing Scrub to exfoliate. I love the scrub so much not only for the result, but also because it has biodegradable exfoliating beads and not plastic ones. It’s my personal preference to use products like this that are safe for the environment and not hurtful to ocean life. I also love that it’s a medium grain exfoliator and not a rough scrub so it doesn’t irritate the skin, it’s the perfect balance.

After the scrub, I used electric trimmers to clean up the area around his goatee. Then I used my hands to massage in the Facial Moisturizer to keep everything calm, hydrated and promote circulation. It keeps the skin looking as healthy as possible.

To style Ethan’s hair, I first used a little Oribe Rough Luxury Soft Molding Paste with my hands and twisted it in until I got the desired style. To set the look, I used Oribe Dry Thickening Spray which is great because it doesn’t mess up the hairstyle like wet sprays can. This dry spray holds the hair just a perfect as you left it and doesn’t change it at all.

To finish the look, we used Burts Bee’s original lip balm to keep the lips hydrated, but not shiny so therefore still matte and masculine.”

Claire Danes: Golden Globes 2015 Look by Matin using NARS Cosmetics

I was among the millions watching the Golden Globes last night and looked forward to seeing many of my favorite actors grace the stage. One of my favorite Celebrity Makeup Artists and friend, Matin, created a wonderful look for Claire Danes last night at the Golden Globes using NARS Cosmetics. I believe E! Correspondent Ryan Seacrest mentioned how her eyes matched her beautiful hand beaded Valentino gown while interviewing Claire before the show. The Nars blue used on Claire's eyes- simply captivating!

Please see below for more details and the products used to achieve this look.

Beauty Inspiration: “When I saw Claire’s hand-beaded Valentino gown, I was immediately struck with inspiration. We agreed that her eyes should be the focus so I matched her eyeshadow to the gorgeous peacock blue of her dress to create a brighter, edgier smoky look.”

Key NARS products used:

All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation (New for Spring 2015; for now try Sheer Matte Foundation) | Fervor Dual-Intensity Blush (New for Spring 2015; for now try Unlawful and Taos Blush) | Giove Dual-Intensity Eyeshadow | Kalisté Eyeliner Pencil

All products, except where noted, are available at narscosmetics.com.
