StriVectin HAIR Advisory Stylist Ashley Streicher worked on her (adorably pregnant) client Emily Blunt and below are some thoughts from Ashley, as well as the step by step for getting the look.
Emily's dress was a Valentino, sort of bohemian, gown -- light colored with ruffles and very low cut neckline. With Emily visibly pregnant, we wanted to go with a soft look all together. My sister, Jenn Streicher, does her makeup, so we were able to have a look at the dress and talk about what would be best. Soft and modern was the goal.
I started Emily with freshly cleaned hair, which was also treated with StriVectin Color Care Vibrancy Booster (Sephora.com) for added shine and radiance, and a freshly-colored effect.
We gave her a nice, modern center part and sprayed her roots with StriVectin HAIR Max Volume Root Lift Spray (Sephora.com), while massaging ends with Max Volume Bodifying Radiance Serum (Sephora.com).
I blew out her hair using a small round boar bristle brush, not giving too much volume, but just enough for some all-around movement.
Next, I went through the crown of her hair with Sachajuan Dry Volume Powder in Dark, for some hold and volume. I used a clear elastic to pull hair into a low, loose pony leaving softness in the front, and spraying all over with a dry medium-hold hairspray.
Last, I wrapped up the pony into a loose knot, pinning in place with bobby pins, and finished with an all over spray of dry hairspray (Rene Furterer Vegetal Strong Hold Finishing Spray).
