At the MTV Movie & TV Awards on Saturday evening, celebrity hairstylist Robert Vetica sent presenter Alison Brie down the red carpet in a retro-cool ponytail created using Leonor Greyl products.
“Our inspiration for the look was the ‘60s—we wanted to go very mod to complement her sheer Sandy Liang gown.
“I did the look in two separate sections—the ponytail piece and the base of the style. To prep the ponytail, I took the wet hair extension and brushed it through, then apply Leonor Greyl Serum SoieSublimateur for an easy blowout that still had plenty of shine. I then rubbed Leonor Greyl Eclat Naturel styling cream between my hands and ran them through the ponytail to smooth it out and add body. To create the curls, I used a 1 ½-inch curling iron on large sections of hair, spraying them with Leonor Greyl Laque Souple styling spray on the mid-shafts to the end for soft, touchable hold.
“To create an anchor for the ponytail, I sprayed Alison’s dry hair heavily with Leonor Greyl Spray Structure Naturelle stying spray, directing the hair upwards with my brush. I guided the hair into a topknot, continuously combing and spraying the hair as I worked to guarantee a strong, tight base for the style.
“Once the topknot was in place, I sprayed it with Leonor Greyl Laque Souple for hold and shine, then covered the topknot with a hair net to contain flyaways and make attaching the ponytail easier.
“After securing it in place and concealing the hair net and base knot with hair, I applied on more Eclat Naturel and brushed the ponytail lightly to ensure the look was stable and had gorgeous shine. The finishing touch was a final spray of Laque Souple around the hairline and edges to keep it looking sleek, shiny, and mod.”

Get The Look: Daisy Ridley
Celebrity hairstylist Robert Vetica created Daisy Ridley’s playful textured bob for the EE BAFTA British Academy Film Awards.
Vetica says Daisy Ridley “slayed” in her color-blocked, embroidered Roland Mouret frock. That cool and confident look is what inspired her hairstyle, “I kept the hair freshly undone and coifed away from her face.” Her hair was just as aspirational as her outfit.
The result was shoulder-length waves that were effortlessly chic.
To get the look, Vetica first applied Leonor Greyl Mousse au Lotus Volumatrice to give her hair volume and bounce.
He blow-dried the hair back in the direction of the finished style and added a low side part.
The right side back was swept away from Ridley’s face. When dried, Vetica curled the hair starting in the back. Leonor Greyl Condition Naturelle was used to protect the hair from heat, as he twisted and dragged each section around a curling iron to create effortless waves.
The leave-in conditioning spray also added extra hold and an edgy texture to the hair.
To break up the curls, he worked in Leonor Greyl Éclat Naturel Styling Cream.
Of course Ridley’s hair had to look polished for hours, so Vetica misted with Leonor Greyl Voluforme to finish the look.

Get The Look: Daisy Ridley at the Teen Choice Awards
I had a lot of fun watching the Teen Choice Awards with my daughter last night. We watched every performance and listened to every speech and both thought JT gave the audience wonderful insight regarding how to tackle decisions we face within our daily lives. Below is how to get the look of actress Daisy Ridley and yes, we loved her dress, too!
Celebrity hairstylist Robert Vetica used Leonor Greyl products to create Choice Movie Breakout Star Winner Daisy Ridley’s look for the Teen Choice Awards on Sunday, July 31, 2016.
Robert says, “I went to see Daisy today and found a new version of this gorgeous beauty; she was sporting a shorter layered bob with copper red color.”
“It’s been a few weeks since Oliver from John Frieda Salon UK created this new look for Daisy, so it was my pleasure today to freshen up her color and shape up the already gorgeous haircut!”
First tackling Daisy’s color and cut, Robert went a little richer with the hue and chopped up the cut, going a bit shorter.
To style this fresh new look on Daisy, Robert applied to her wet hair Leonor Greyl Mousse au Lotus Volumatrice “for volume and hold as well as to give the hair some weight for my finished styling.”
Robert shares, “Using a flat paddle brush, I dried the hair from root to end with a bit of a bend mid-shaft for added bounce. Then using the nozzle of the blow dryer, I dried the fringe in place, shaking the dryer to fluff up the fringe.”
Robert then ran a flat iron through the whole cut, actually “handling it like a round iron, twisting and turning to add texture.”
“To finish,” Robert continues, “I used Leonor Greyl Voluformehairspray for texture and hold using my hands and fingers to style.”
