Get The Look: Nails by TracyLee for Olivia Munn

SALLY HANSEN AMBASSADOR TRACYLEE CREATES SCENE-STEALING NAIL LOOKS FOR THE 2015 COSTUME INSTITUTE GALA...

The stars shined last night at fashion’s biggest annual event, The Met Ball, where Olivia Munn walked the red carpet with one-of-a-kind nails by celebrity manicure artist and Sally Hansen Nail Ambassador, Tracylee. This year’s Chinese-themed Met Gala honors China's heritage and its present culture on the red carpet, so attendees like Olivia, showed off chic interpretations of the theme down to their fingertips.

So often we forget to talk about the theme and it's creativity as each attendee embraces it within their own individual way. No two people interpret the theme in the same manner causing it to be a visual excitement for the eyes!

Industry leader and Sally Hansen Ambassador Tracylee created a custom look to complement the fashion insider’s high glamour ensemble. “I love the element of theatricality the Gala calls for,” explains Tracylee. “It gives me an opportunity to create statement nails that bring Chinese aesthetics to the next level.”

To create the look seen at the Met Ball, Tracylee used Sally Hansen’s award winning Complete Salon Manicure in Red My Lips with a fade to black using Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear in Black Out. She completed the look with Big Matte Top Coat.

Nail expert Tracylee boasts more than 15 years of experience as an educator and trendsetter in the industry. Known for her editorial style, innovative approach, and creative nail art talent, Tracylee is the most sought-after manicurist for A-listers and premier media.

Get The Look: Olivia Munn at the Red Carpet Premiere of Mordecai

Celebrity hairstylist Christian Marc created the look for Olivia Munn using Leonor Greyl for last night's red carpet premiere of ‘Mortdecai’.

“Olivia is wearing a gorgeous, floor length, black dress that is very sexy and has a beautiful, body-hugging silhouette.  The vibe that we went with for her hair was a glamorous, mid-70s style – very high fashion.

I started by applying Leonor Greyl Mousse au Lotus Volumatrice from root to tip on her damp hair, combing it through to make sure it was evenly distributed.  Then, once her hair was dry I began curling her hair with a 1” curling iron, starting from the back of the head to the front.  To ensure that there was enough body and texture to last all night, I would spray each section with Voluforme before curling it. When I got to the front, I switched to a 1½” curling iron for more relaxed waves.

After curling her whole head, I applied Éclat Naturel to the curls while brushing them out with a Mason Pearson Brush, just using my fingers and the tip of the brush.  Éclat Naturel is one of the best products on the market – the texture and hold are amazing and the product is so versatile.  It leaves the hair with a silky feeling while still giving it great hold.

Once I brushed through the waves, I shook out her hair and sprayed it once more with Leonor Greyl Voluforme.  Especially for a red carpet event, I make sure to use a little more hairspray than usual so that it holds throughout the night.

To finish off the look, I applied Serum de Soie Sublimateur to the end of her hair and the top to give it a little bit of sheen and make it just a tad sleeker.  By only using a little, it gave it a more polished effect and kept it from looking too harsh and sleek.”
