Ok, I admit I want to look like Beyoncé at all given times and I love this step by step breakdown that Sir John created so that we all can learn how to get her Coachella look. I am a huge fan of both of them, both creatively and musically. Two artists in their own right. Just look up #BEYCHELLA // #BKxSJ to see the look for yourself!
GET THE LOOK:
1. Sir John started off the look first focusing on eyes. For Beyoncé’s shadow he utilized a warm, matte terracotta shadow as the base shade. He then mixed two loose glitters together – one in a copper color and the other in an iridescent purple – and placed on the ball of her eyes.
2. Next, he lined Beyoncé’s eyes with a black liner on top and a MAC coffee-colored liner on the bottom. He prefers to do this black/brown liner combo because the coffee brown helps to bring in some softness to the eye, whereas black liner on the bottom sometimes weighs the eye down.
3. For Beyoncé’s lashes, Sir John wanted to give her a super feathery, voluminous look. He first curled the lashes to give them a lift and then applied generous coats of his go-to mascara, L’Oréal Paris Voluminous Lash Paradise.
4. For her skin, Sir John applied foundation and concealer and then created a structural look by contouring her cheeks, eye sockets and jaw line with Tom Ford Bronzer.
5. He then applied highlighter to the sides of Beyoncé’s cheeks (but not the front), bridge of her nose (but not the tip) and her cupid’s bow. For the highlight textures, he used a cream highlight followed by L'Oreal Paris True Match Lumi Shimmerista Powder in Sunlighton top.
6. For lips, Sir John opted for a pinkish-brown lip color that he knew would last throughout her performance. He chose the NEW! L'Oreal Paris Infallible Pro-Matte Les Chocolat Liquid Lipstick in Dose of Cocoa; first lining the lip and then applying the lip color directly from the tube.
7. To finish off the look, Sir John applied All Even Spray Body Makeup all over Beyoncé’s body…from her shoulders to her legs. The long-lasting formula lasted throughout her multiple wardrobe changes.
